Electromyography

All the nerves and muscles of the body work with the help of electrical currents, which can be measured.

Electromyography is used to evaluate the electrical activity of different muscles. In this way, it enables the detection of various muscular diseases, but also nervous diseases and the difference between them.

Electromyography is one of the most frequently performed examinations at the neurologist and is most often combined with electroneurography (measurement of nerve conduction).
