Cervical cancer is a completely preventable disease, yet it remains a significant cause of cancer death among women worldwide.

The main cause of precancerous conditions and cervical cancer is persistent or chronic infection with one or more types of human papillomavirus (HPV). Something that is completely preventable if the right prevention policies are implemented.

Early detection through screening of all women of the target age group, followed by treatment of detected precancerous lesions, can prevent the majority of cervical neoplasms.

Cervical cancer can be treated in different ways:
1. Surgery
2. Radiotherapy
3. Chemotherapy
