The Department of Radiology in Salus, deals with the production and reading of diagnostic or therapeutic radiographic images, also provides clinical services and instrumental diagnostics. In addition, the department collaborates with all other hospital departments, consulting for hospitalized patients. The medical staff attends conferences of the most important Italian Radiological Societies and update courses organized by the companies themselves and by the Radiological Department. All staff, both medical and non-medical, in addition to the usual training courses on the use of service-available equipment, periodically follow up-to-date courses and training as required by the Ministerial Directives on Continuing Medical Education (ECM). Staff attend courses and meetings organized by the Salus Hospital to meet the provisions for occupational safety and training. The Radiological Service operates in a variety of areas including hospitalization and outpatient activities.
The Radiology Department has the latest generation of equipment that is periodically subject to preventive checks by supply companies and for routine maintenance by hospital technical staff. The state of equipment efficiency or use is monitored periodically by the facility itself.
