The Department of Psychiatry in Salus, is a branch of medicine dealing with the treatment of mental illness, abnormal behavior, emotional distress. The psychiatrist studies biological, neurological and biochemical abnormalities, to diagnose mental illnesses and prescribe medications for their treatment. Once diagnosed, they prescribe a treatment for the patient focusing on symptom management through the use of medications.
